I tagged onto a existing ticket in PayPal – they have confirmed its a failure on their end:
As you can see, Formidable covers more than the average WordPress PayPal plugin does. Our plugin is a form builder with many integrations. .
We are hoping to enable "Transparent Redirect" with this plugin. Similar to the setting available in Paypal Pro PayFlow settings: https://docs.woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/paypal-pro-payflow-settings.png Is this possible? We are being told we are not PCI Compliant without this setting. Much thanks!
Ecwid offers a free plan for merchants selling 10 or fewer products. Although it can be a good jumping-off point, be aware that the free plan locks out some relatively basic features, and you’ll encounter suggestions that you upgrade your plan at every turn.
EDD holds the crown for digital products. This is a solution that was made just for selling non-physical goods, so all you have to do is install the plugin and upload the items to your dashboard. Both Buy Now and Add to Cart buttons come along with EDD, and customers can save their carts and their past files to come back and download them later. Another primary reason EDD is the top solution for digital goods is that of the file access control. Basically, this means that you can specify how many people can download the file, or even make the file inaccessible after a certain period of time.
Payment Gateways Supported: The free version supports PayPal. The paid version has over 40 payment gateways including 2Checkout, Authorize.net, ClickAndBuy, iDEAL, Payleap, iPayment, Stripe, and more.
Are you running a charity firm or a non-profit organization on WordPress and want to collect donations online?
The range of currently available WordPress shopping cart plugins and themes is strong. There are a lot of options that go about things in slightly different ways. All the plugins featured in this guide deliver the functionality you need at a price that’s affordable.
@Leslie, The plugin doesn’t collect the shipping address from the customer. So it won’t know what shipping to charge. Is it possible to set up country specific shipping fees in your PayPal account? Dean
Will the return and cancel_return page receive a status or details of the transactions
It’s important to know that Shopify isn’t a plugin. It cannot be used in conjunction with your WordPress website. It’s a standalone cloud-based eCommerce solution. Like BigCommerce but without the integration into other websites. Shopify is great at what it does and there is little to criticise but it won’t be for everyone.
…you don’t want to use a full-fledged e-commerce solution for WordPress. This plugin is perfect if you just want to sell one type of product or service, or even a handful of them. If you’re planning on having a broader inventory of products, you’re likely better off using WooCommerce.
s2Member Pro comes with "Pro-Forms"—shortcodes that generate Registration/Checkout Forms, and other kinds of forms too. In contrast, the free version of s2Member does not come with Pro-Forms. In the free version of s2Member you have "Payment Buttons" only. Payment Buttons lead visitors away from your site to complete checkout at your payment gateway, whereas Pro-Forms keep visitors on your site at all times, and you will have full support for on-site credit card processing. There are Pro-Forms for Free Registration, Paid Checkout, Billing Updates (e.g., for a customer to update the credit card they have on-file), Billing Modifications (e.g., altering an existing membership plan—upgrade or downgrade), and Cancellation Pro-Forms too. Why Should I Use Pro-Forms Instead of Buttons?
@Dave, There is no built-in support for Venmo. I don’t know if you can enable Venmo in your PayPal account so it appears as an option on the payment page. Alisha
You can use the block with a Paypal account to allow your customers to complete transactions using a credit card, debit card, or their Paypal account.

In a page or post editor you will see a new button called “Easy Shopping Cart” located right above the text area beside the Add Media button. By using this you can automatically create shortcodes for add to cart and view cart buttons.
